Lara DePoy

Agnes (Agi) Maulik, Conductor  

Agi is a qualified conductor, graduated from the International Petö Institute, Hungary. She has experience in Conductive Education having worked in Hungary and several other European countries (listed below). She also holds a degree in English education.  

While studying at the Pető Institute Agi worked with a variety of ages ranging from infants to adults as well as a variety of diagnosis. Her experience includes:

  • infant and mother-and-child groups;
  • children's department (0-3 year olds);
  • kindergarten groups (3-7 year olds)  with mixed spastic children;
  • school-age groups (8-9 year olds) with mixed spastic children (tetraplegia spastica, hemiplegia spastica, diplegia spastica, athetosis, cerebellar ataxia);
  • adult group with Parkinson's disease, hemiplegia spastica, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke.

Lara DePoy, M.S., OTR, Program Director
Lara has worked in occupational therapy programs since earning her master’s degree in 1999.  She does dual duty at the Jackson Center as Program Director/Occupational Therapist and Mom to Jackson DePoy, for whom the Jackson Center was named.

Lauren Snyder, B.S. K-6 Elementary Education/Special Education (Mi-MH)

Lauren has had experience working with children of special needs, ranging from mild learning disabilities, speech disabilities, ADD, emotional disorder, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy since 2000 through private child care. Following her passion for working with special needs children, Lauren earned her B.S. degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College where she majored in Elementary and Special Education.

Lauren joined the Jackson Center staff in 2009 where she is leading an academic enhancement program.  She provides classroom instruction for children enrolled in the Jackson Center who are pre-school to elementary-aged to supplement instruction they are receiving through the public schools.

Aides and Administrative Support

Every child is assisted by an individual in the daily program activities.  Aides complete an introductory training session about Conductive Education and handling.  Aides play a critical role in the children’s development.  Administrative support is also available to greet visitors, update student files and assist with insurance filings.
